What calls qualify as an "emergency"?An 'emergency' is any situation where immediate action is required to prevent significant loss or disruption. While we understand that all customer needs are time-sensitive, certain issues—such as failing coolers, ice machines, sub-units, or chest freezers—take priority, particularly for our commercial clients. These emergencies can pose a substantial risk to operations, and we strive to address them promptly, minimizing potential losses regardless of the time or day.
-
My maintenance agreement seems expensive; What's the deal?Carefully review the service agreement in full and reach out with any questions for clarification. Our service agreements involve recurring payments that guarantee scheduled on-site maintenance for your systems. While the cost may appear higher upfront, it reflects coverage for multiple service visits rather than a single call. Preventative maintenance ensures your equipment operates efficiently for decades—a worthwhile investment given the critical role of refrigeration systems.
-
Why is my estimate/part/order/install taking so long?We understand the fast-paced demands of the service industry and the unique challenges your business faces. While we prioritize punctual and clear communication, we recognize that delays may occasionally arise from distributors or related partners. At Next Generation Refrigeration, we are committed to maintaining open, proactive communication with our customers and will keep you informed to the best of our abilities regarding the status of your issue.
-
I'm having an emergency! When can you get here?As a team with firsthand experience in the restaurant industry, we understand the financial impact of equipment failures like a down walk-in or a malfunctioning sandwich station. That’s why emergency service calls are our top priority, regardless of scheduling demands. However, severe weather conditions may occasionally affect our ability to reach your location, though we remain committed to addressing your needs as quickly as possible.
-
Where can I find your commercial service agreements?Due to the custom nature of our agreements being tailored for each commercial account, it is your decision how we design your maintenance plan. Our team will be happy to make suggestions based on the equipment you use, but the decision will ultimately be yours to make. If you are looking for a commercial service agreement, please reach out to our team and we can begin the process of crafting your personalized, worry-free maintenance schedule!

Will you install a ducted system? (Central A/C)Generally, no. At Next Generation Refrigeration, we prioritize providing cost-effective and forward-thinking heating and cooling solutions. We firmly believe that mini-split systems (heat pumps) represent the future of HVAC, and we recommend them for most applications due to their efficiency and versatility. However, we can install ducted systems under certain circumstances and timelines. These projects typically require additional planning and may take longer to complete compared to our mini-split recommendations.
-
Will you work on new construction projects?Yes, we work on new construction projects. In fact, new construction or renovation projects often provide the ideal opportunity for certain installations, such as mini-split systems. If you prefer the piping to be completely concealed within the walls, new construction is the best option, as it allows for seamless integration during the building process.
-
Do you work on appliances?Yes and no. We specialize in installing appliances such as gas stoves, fryolators, and alcohol-related systems. However, we typically do not service household items like chest freezers or refrigerators. While we have the expertise to repair these appliances, the cost of repairs often approaches the price of purchasing a new unit. In cases with unique circumstances, we may consider servicing them, but we always ensure our customers are informed about potential cost disparities beforehand.
-
Do you offer rebates? Our company does not directly offer rebates, and manufacturer rebates are infrequent, typically aligning with their promotional cycles. However, as of December 2023, both state and federal governments provide tax credits and rebates of up to $3,000 ($2,000 federal, $1,000 state) depending on the system's model and manufacturer. To date, all systems we have installed, including Daikin and Fujitsu models, have qualified for these incentives.
